As of July 1, 2010 MLNC will be doing business from 13610 Barrett Office Drive, Suite 206, Ballwin, MO 63021. This new space will allow us to continue to offer vital services and support to libraries – including training, electronic resources, contract services and OCLC billing – while also fulfilling our goal to operate in a leaner form. Our toll-free number of 800-969-6562 will remain the same, but our local number will change to 314-394-1320 and our fax number will be 314-394-1326.
We will be glad to welcome all of our members to events in our office after mid-July!

Database cancellations
We decided in Collection Management not to renew Mergent Online (too much duplication with what is in LexisNexis Business, and it is very expensive) and Bridgeman Art Library (very low usage, and we have given the Art department two years to build usage).

Blog Away -- Newly Designed Catalog
The Task Force for the “newly designed catalog” is asking that you enter questions/ideas/problems/comments about the new catalog. When entering “glitches” please include the name of the browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) being used as that sometimes can make a big difference.

Horace Mann Library Hours in May
Horace Mann Library will be closed from Sat., May 15 through Sunday, June 6. There were requests the last couple summers from some university education classes to use our resources during the May session. These requests came mainly from the social studies and math education classes. Please forward this email to those professors that you feel may be interested in using our resources to remind them to please schedule a visit to Horace Mann Library during the week of May 10th to the 14th. If they want to schedule a visit at a later date in May, please contact the library graduate assistant Amanda Lewey at S255775@nwmissouri.edu. (I will be out of town during much of the break.)
Thank you,
