Our conversion to Flash streaming is complete. From January 15th, 2010 we will no longer support the Windows Media or Silverlight audio players.
We recommend that you convert to the Flash Player now by clicking on the Flash icon at the bottom of your current player. You can obtain the latest version of the Adobe Flash player here.

Facts On File: Improved Page Tools
Text Resize Tool: The new Text Resize tool allows users to customize any article for their viewing needs. On an article page, click the [+] or [-] links found in the upper right portion of the screen.
Page Tools More Prominent: It is now easier to find and use our article page tools, which allow users to print, email, save to foler, and resize article text.
Improved Printer-friendly pages: OUr new layout makes article printouts easier to read and use. especially for articles containing tables. We have added this feature to menu pages.

Global Issues in Context enhancements
The most significant enhancements to Global Issues in Context include:
1. The Country Finder feature has been renamed World Map and now offers an even greater number of options to explore global issues geographically, including the ability to browse by topic and zoom into regional and local-level results. This enhances the map's existing ability to browse by country and region.
A few helpful hints:
* The map no longer automatically opens with set pins. Users will need to use the Map Options navigation to select a topic, country or region. The map also enables search. To locate country information:
- Users may click "Browse Countries" in the drop-down box in Map Options and select the appropriate country.
- Alternatively, users may:
2. Libraries may configure the order of the content types on portal pages. For example, an academic institution can designate "Academic Journals" to display first versus "Global Viewpoints," which is the default display setting. This is done using your IT Config account.

New Credo features
Update from Credo on new features, enhancements, and gadgets:
"Based on feedback from librarians and users, we've enhanced our basic search page with key new features:
1. An image-only search
2. A featured content section
3. An indication of the content you may find in Credo
1. Searching Credo's 200,000+ images just got easier. From the Search page, select the Image Search tab and enter your search term to view related images. Similarly, you can access our Concept Map by clicking the Concept Search tab.
2. Our Featured Content area will spotlight interesting searches and content related to current events. Featured Content will be updated regularly and remain timely. We welcome suggestions for the Featured Content area. Send your ideas to support@credoreference.com.
3. The search page now includes suggestions for how to use Credo. Under 'Use Credo Reference to find', you can click through to all our encyclopedias, dictionaries and biographical titles. Or get quick access to our measurement conversions tool and crossword solver.

Credo's current Gadgets have proven very popular, and we're pleased to announce the addition of two new gadgets:
1. Image search
2. Pronunciation search
Use the Image search to find photos, illustrations or maps. Need to know how to pronounce a term? Type your word into our Pronunciations gadget to find out.

Serials Solutions/Ulrich's technical news
Please note that Ulrichsweb and Ulrich’s Serials Analysis System will be temporarily unavailable from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT on Friday, April 3 (01:00 to 03:00 GMT on Saturday, April 4). Users will not be able to login or access the products during that time period.
This temporary system downtime will allow us to put a series of content enhancements into production. As a result, users may experience intermittent site slowness when using Ulrichsweb and Ulrich’s Serials Analysis System for a period after service restarts. Regular service will be restored by 2:00 PM PDT (20:00 GMT) on Saturday, April 4.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
