IIMP upgrades reserach environment
ProQuest announced a platform release that offers increased research control.
"Research focus and methods are rapidly changing, and students and researchers are seeking new research environments designed to ease the ways to search, find, use, and share a world of vetted, reliable information.
ProQuest brings you a brand-new research environment to serve these needs, and is at your side to inspire and support success throughout the entire research cycle.
It all started with input from customers like you, and it keeps getting even better as we respond to continued feedback from our users.
With today’s update on our most recent enhancements, you’ll see the solid results. Connecting with information is easier and more intuitive than ever. Additional innovative tools and customization capabilities offer greater flexibility and control. And, when libraries choose, we’ve added ways for users to instantly communicate with their librarian.
As you explore the ProQuest research environment, please note these examples of a few new ways to...
Connect & Customize
Provide real-time answers to questions with customizable chat and email widgets that your library can set on any or every page.
Search & Discover
Propel research with the enhanced, user-friendly thesaurus that can be easily accessed. Longer searches expand for easier review in the Advanced Search mode.
Download & Report
Specify document output with custom formatting to suit research needs—based on the fields present, such as abstract citation style, author, file format, etc.
Analyze & Store
Perform analysis more effectively and efficiently with improved database and title lists, with databases linked for instant searching.
Save & Track
Manage alerts using the new sort options that fit research needs: by date or alphabetical order. Plus save, modify, and create alerts or RSS feeds from narrowed searches.
Plus, more ProQuest Historical Newspapers have been added, including the Cincinnati Enquirer, Newsday, Jewish Exponent, Jerusalem Post, and American Israelite—the most recent example of how the world of ProQuest content continues to expand.
We suggest you view several other enhancements that make research easier; click here.
Also, be sure to sign up for our special webinar on November 28: “New ProQuest Platform Recent Enhancements.” If you’re unable to attend, we will be posting a recording after the session here.
Our live and recorded training webinars and YouTube videos are a great way to familiarize yourself, your librarians, and end users with the new ProQuest research environment.
We’re here to help."
